Hours after a horrific malfunction in a ride at an amusement park in Ahmedabad caused the death of three people and injured several others on Sunday, a spine-chilling video of the accident has gone viral on social media.
The ride in the Kankaria Adventure Park was carrying around 30 people at the time of the accident and collapsed after a pipe of the main shaft broke. Chilling visuals of the moment are seen in the video as onlookers shuddered in fear after the ride collapsed with people in it.
The video has gone viral after being made available online, and it has been viewed over 84,000 times already. It's scary.

Netizens, meanwhile, were enraged over the concerned authorities after watching the video and posted angry comments. "This is only the carelessness of internal check, they are only focusing to earn money. This must have to be investigated and needed to take action asap. Bad Sunday," a comment read. Another user wrote: "This is so very tragic. Heartbreaking! RIP to the ones who're no more and prayers for the ones who're injured. Always avoid sitting in such dangerous ride."
"Poor construction, poor periodic inspection/maintenance and so on.......," most of the viewers opined.
Soon after the accident, civic officials rushed to the spot where 28 people were found severely injured and taken to a nearby hospital immediately. Three people were killed as a result of the accident.
Speaking of the accident, MF Dastoor, Chief Fire Officer, said, "There are 32 seats in the ride that go round. The pipe of the main shaft broke and crashed on the ground. How that pipe broke is a matter of investigation by Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL)," as per news agency PTI.
A top civic official told news agency ANI that the injured received proper treatment, adding, "Police along with the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team will investigate why the ride malfunctioned, the mechanical reason behind it."
The official also said that strict action will be taken against those responsible for the accident.
