Presidential Election: Ram Nath Kovind files nomination for Presidential election, PM Modi, NDA leaders accompany him

New Delhi: NDA's presidential candidate Ram Nath Kovind d filed his nomination papers on Friday within the sight of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah and Chief Ministers of NDA-ruled states.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) patriarch LK Advani, alongside other senior party pioneers Murli Manohar Joshi, Sushma Swaraj, Venkaiah Naidu others were additionally present.

Kovind nomination his assignment at Parliament House.

A few heads of other political parties which are supporting his candidature were likewise present.

Four sets of nomination papers have been readied and each were marked by Modi, Shah, Telugu Desam Party boss and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, and previous Punjab boss priest Parkash Singh Badal.

Other than the NDA's constituents, which involve more than 48.6 percent of votes in the appointive school that will choose the following president, territorial gatherings, for example, the AIADMK, BJD, TRS and JD(U) have reported their support to the Dalit pioneer, making his win a practically inescapable result.

Kovind is good to go to cruise through the July 17 presidential race as he is ensured to get more than 61 percent of the vote.

Opposition announces Meira Kumar as presidential nominee

Previous Lok Sabha speaker and senior Congress pioneer Meira Kumar, a Dalit, was on Thursday reported Opposition's contender to go up against NDA chosen one Ram Nath Kovind for Presidential decision.

The tallying of votes will happen on July 20. The term of President Pranab Mukherjee closes on July 24.
