Apple CEO Tim Cook shares ‘Holi’ pictures from Nandgaon, Vrindavan and Bengaluru

NEW DELHI: Holi, also known as the ‘festival of colours’ is not just limited to India but has gained enough popularity in the US and other regions over the years. Every year we have some of the tech leaders from Silicon Valley wishing their fans a colourful and a vibrant life on the day of Holi. This year too we had Apple CEO reaching out to fans, wishing them a colourful and vibrant life in a slightly different way.

Cook’s tweet made on March 2, included three images clicked by Indian users using the iPhone X, Apple’s latest flagship smartphone. The tweet mentions the three images come from Nandgaon, Bengaluru and Vrindavan.
“Stunning photos that capture the colourful festival of Holi by @prashvish in Nandgaon, @amitmehraphoto in Vrindavan and @ashishjparmar in Bengaluru, India #ShotoniPhone,” says the tweet. Two of the images are shot using the portrait mode with dark background.
Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google didn’t tweet anything on Holi but he did share one of the articles talking about the festival of colours. “There's nothing quite like the colour explosion in India during Holi,” said a part of his tweet on March 2.
Google Doodle of March 2 also was on the same topic, showing a colourful art of men/women playing drums, wearing coloured splashed clothes. “Red, yellow, blue, and green are a few of our favourite colours all year round, but today we’re putting them front and center for an extra special reason. It’s time for Holi — the age-old festive ritual marking the end of winter, the coming of spring, and symbolically, the triumph of good over evil. Family and friends come together to feast, dance, and laugh together while dousing each other with coloured powder and water,” said the Google Doodle page. The page even showed some early drafts on the doodle.
Surprisingly, Satya Nadella has not yet tweeted anything about it.
