Isha Ambani, Anand Piramal Tie the Knot in a Star-Studded Ceremony, First Pics of Newlyweds

Isha Ambani, daughter of Reliance Industries Ltd Chairman and MD Mukesh Ambani, tied the knot with Piramal Group Chairman Ajay Piramal's son, Anand Piramal, in a grand ceremony on Wednesday.

Isha Ambani, daughter of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani, tied the knot with Piramal Group Chairman Ajay Piramal's son, Anand Piramal, in a grand ceremony on Wednesday. The couple got hitched at Ambani’s Altamount Road residence, Antilia in Mumbai.
The high-profile wedding saw former president Pranab Mukherjee, ex-US secretary of state and first-lady Hillary Clinton, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, Ratan Tata, the Bachchans, Rajinikanth, Aamir Khan, Sachin Tendulkar, among guests.
Isha's twin-bother Akash and elder brother Anant Ambani rode out on specially requisitioned horses, in traditional attire late in the afternoon, beginning the nuptial ceremony. This was followed by the 'baraat' (traditional wedding procession) in which the groom's side enters.
Though the exact time of the nuptials were not known, sources said the exit of the wedding party, along with the new daughter-in-law took place only after the midnight, reports PTI.
Isha and Anand got engaged in September at Lake Como in Italy after which their lavish pre-wedding festivities began with pomp and show in Udaipur last Friday, attracting the creme de la creme of Bollywood and several bigwigs from the world of politics, business and sports.
The Ambani family also organised a special ‘Anna Seva’ at Narayan Seva Sansthan to seek blessings. As part of it, 5100 people were served food three times a day between December 7-10. A sangeet ceremony was held on Saturday evening, which saw a performance by American singer Beyonce and specially choreographed song and dance sequences including ones by the bride's mother Neeta, Isha herself and also some big names from Bollywood such as Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra and Salman Khan.
