I have been expelled from Congress: Shankersinh Vaghela

Gandhinagar: Veteran Congress leader Shankersinh Vaghela on Friday declared that he was expelled from the party on Thursday.

Vaghela made the declaration while tending to his supporters amid his 77th birthday festivities in Gandhinagar today.

"Congress expelled me 24 hours back, thinking what I would state at the occasion," the previous Gujarat chief minister said.

Vaghela is said to be troubled with the Congress for not having been given a free hand for the party's campaign for the state Assembly Election 2017.

He had before hammered the state Congress over "lack of homework" for the Assembly surveys.
