Other than calling Sunny Leone ‘Italian pasta’, 4 times Kapil Sharma was derogatory towards women

Kapil Sharma is once again in the news for the wrong reasons! The comedian, in the latest episode of The Kapil Sharma show called Sunny Leone, Italian pasta with white sauce which seems to have upset fans.

The ‘king of comedy’, Kapil Sharma, who recently made a comeback on TV after his long hiatus, is once again in the news, but again for all the wrong reasons. His most recent guest, Sunny Leone, who made an appearance on the show to promote her latest song, may have laughed off most of his jokes but fans didn’t. Incidentally, Kapil Sharma called Sunny Leone, ‘Italian pasta with white sauce’ during the show. And not only that, throughout the show, the comedian kept making comments about her beauty and rarely asked about her work.

This isn’t the first time that the comedian has made either a derogatory comment on a woman or for that matter has been derogatory towards women. In fact, he’s a serial offender when it comes to disrespecting women – here are five other occasions when Kapil Sharma was disrespectful towards women:

1) Marathi Film Festival Awards 2015

The comedian reportedly had misbehaved with not one but multiple women at the after party of this film festival. It was reported that Kapil Sharma, in an inebriated state made derogatory remarks and behaved badly with actress Tanishaa Mukerji, singer Monali Thakur and Marathi actress Deepali Sayeed.

2) Priyanka Chopra

A few years ago, it was reported that Kapil Sharma, during the rehearsals of an award show he was hosting, made derogatory comments on Priyanka Chopra after the actress arrived late for rehearsals. According to an India Today report, Kapil had made a sexist comment: "Ladies logon ka yehi problem hai, madam abhi tak tayaar nahin hain."

3) Pregnant Women

A few years back, Maharashtra State Commission for Women had issued a show cause notice to Kapil Sharma after he had cracked an insensitive joke about pregnant women delivering babies while being driven on Indian roads full of potholes.

4) Amritsar Nurses

In 2016, nurses in Amritsar protested against Kapil Sharma quite vehemently after the comedian had depicted a nurse on his show in a demeaning and vulgar fashion, according to them. The nurses and paramedics had burnt an effigy of the comedian-turned-actor at the time, and had filed a police complaint against him.
