Man Who Captured Three Bear Cubs Dancing & Playing Like Human Kids, Thought He Was Imagining It

There is no way to know what goes on inside the depths of the forests, how some animals behave when they are…not seen. However, a few years ago, a physical education teacher and photographer by passion, Valtteri Mulkahainen, from Sotkamo, Finland, stumbled upon a view he had a hard time believing was real.

He recently posted the pictures of his trip to the Finnish Taiga around the town of Martinselkonen that he took almost six years ago and the pictures are viral.

While he was exploring the area he noticed a bear with a few cubs coming into the clearing.

Talking to Bored Panda he said, “The cubs behaved like little children. They were playing, and even started a few friendly fights. I felt like I was on a playground in front of my house, where small children frolic around. That’s how much they reminded me of little children. At one point, the three of them got up on their hind legs and started pushing each other. It was like they were dancing in a circle.” It all sounds surreal and just to be sure he was not imagining all of it, the teacher made sure to capture as many pictures he could.

Fortunately, Valtteri was in a shelter 50 meters away and caught this unbelievable sight on his camera, “I photographed the cubs with the bear all evening and all night,” he said.

Valtteri was lucky to capture such clear shots of the bear family as they usually avoid humans. If they detect human presence they either retreat or attack.

It is understandable that the teacher-turned-photographer could not believe his eyes, it is not every day one gets to witness bears playing around like human kids.
