This is why Mallika Dua, Zakir Khan are sacked from Akshay Kumar’s comedy show

Akshay Kumar’s reality TV show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge is struggling to capture the audience’s imagination. The show is struggling for the eyeballs and the first causality for the bad performance has been its judges.

The show has three judges-cum-mentors in comedian Zakir Khan, Mallika Dua and Hussain Dalal, while Akshay Kumar plays the role of the super judge. As per a report in Mid-Day, the current judges will be replaced by Shreyas Talpade and Sajid Khan.

The daily has quoted a source close to the show, “The last few seasons were a big draw. But, this season didn’t kick off on a great note. The makers arrived at the decision after seeing the dismal TRPs (TV rating).”

The source further said, “The team went ahead with Sajid and Shreyas only after it was green-lit by Akshay. Shreyas was signed on Saturday and Sajid completed the paperwork last evening.”

The show is a talent hunt to find the next big stand-up comedian through a pan India search. Zakir Khan, Mallika Dua and Hussain Dalal were expected to identify good talents and nurture them.

Now, the onus will be on Sajid Khan and Shreyas Talpade to groom deserving talents on the show.

" जो रिश्ते सच में गहरे होते हैं वो कभी अपनेपन का शोर नहीं मचाते..., सच्चे रिश्ते शब्दों से नहीं दिल और आंखो से बात करते हैं.., यूँ ही नहीं आती, खूबसूरती रंगोली में । अलग-अलग रंगो को "एक" होना पड़ता है।
