India has numerous natural wonders that make travel a wondrous experience. Hot Springs are geothermally heated groundwater that appear in cold places, and can be considered to be a blessing. They are often considered to have great healing capabilities. For example they are supposed to be great for the skin, as they can supposedly rejuvenate and detox the skin. If you have ever wondered about taking a dip in hot water springs or just exploring them then here are some of the most popular hot springs in the country.
 
 
​Manikaran, Himachal Pradesh
 
This famous hill town in Parvati Valley is known for its hot springs, and pilgrim centres. Located near Kullu and Manali, Manikaran presents the perfect opportunity to enjoy this comforting hot water during cold days. The hot springs here are believed to have healing properties, particularly for those with rheumatic aches.
 
 
Yumthang, Sikkim
 
Renowned for its hot springs, Yumthang Hot Spring is very popular in the state of Sikkim. The hot spring is located close to Lachen, and is known to be rich in sulphur. There are even other hot springs located close to this one, so you can visit all of them if you have a car. If you go ahead of Yumthang, you can come across the YumeSamdong hot spring.

 

 
Bakreshwar, West Bengal
 
The place is known as a pilgrimage site as this is where you will find a Shakti Temple. Apart from this, this little place also has a hot spring. The hot spring in the village has sodium, potassium, sulphate, and calcium. Hence, this too is known to have therapeutic properties on humans. So a trip to Bakreshwar is all about the body, mind, and soul.
 
 
Kheer Ganga, Himachal Pradesh
 
Yet another hot spring in Himachal Pradesh, Kheer Ganga hot springs is a fantastic place to rejuvenate your body and mind. Kheer Ganga is a famed destination for hikers, full of tall trees, and surrounded by mountains.
