6 Bollywood Superstars Who Turned Down Famous

It's a known fact that not all scripts are written with a particular actor in mind and turning down projects owing to creative differences is more normal than we'd imgine it to be. Here are 6 superstars who turned down big movie roles and changed the history of that particular movie:
1. Kangana Ranaut
Known to be very intuitive about her choice of roles (and rightly so), this National award winning actress turned down the lead in The Dirty Picture because she thought the whole plot of a small town girl succumbing to the urban pressure was already done by her in several movies before this.
2. Hrithik Roshan
The Greek God synonym in Bollywood reportedly turned down the lead in Swades due to reasons unknown. He was in the middle of taking up random movies at that time with just the Koi Mil Gaya franchise doing phenomenally well. The movie later went to SRK and rest is history.
3. Salman Khan
Not many people know this maybe but the phenomenally well made movie Chak De India! was actually initially offered to bhai, who politely turned it down owing to some creative differences and in an interview later, he mentioned he didn't quite like the climax as well when the script came his way and he was busy shooting Partner at that time. Anyway, it turned out to be one of the most important roles essayed by the King Khan eventually.
4. Shah Rukh Khan
Even King Khan is known to make some hasty decisions in terms of choosing projects and one such movie franchise which he turned down owing to his back problem reportedly was the Munnabhai movie.
5. Saif Ali Khan
When Aditya Chopra was casting for DDLJ, he had approached Saif for playing the lead role as Raj after SRK had not given his nod. Eventually after Saif could also not come on board, SRK landed the lead and changed the map of Bollywood with one of the most iconic movies of all time!
6. Kareena Kapoor
The gorgeous actress reportedly turned down Raam Leela and also Kal Ho Na Ho owing to differences with KJo for KHNH and having major schedule changes with the former project. Both movies are important landmarks for Deepika Padukone and Preity Zinta respectively.
