Shopping terms for avid shoppers

Shopping is something that goes beyond money. While it’s a fact that we need money to shop, for some it is all about going out and having fun. Looks like the easiest thing to do? Well, not really — it’s an art, sport and skill in itself. Like everything has a language of its own, even shopping has a certain slang that you can show off the next time you go shopping. Here’s a brief list we compiled for you:
Mall feet
An apt name to use when shoppers are suffering from aching, cramping and painting feet. This usually happens when people shop for longer hours and tend to carry too many bags while shopping. People who are not familiar with the phrase will not understand, but you can always teach them the usage.
Buy-curious
Shoppers are supposed to be curious. But this term is not used in a positive context. A person is addressed as buy-curious when s/he does not have an intention to buy anything. They just loiter around to do their window shopping. This is not a good practice, but some shoppers do that every time.
Spot shopping
This is what usually people do. They go to buy one thing and end up browsing everything that is available. And there is no rule that they would buy everything that they have tried. Nevertheless, they tend to do that because they want to try everything that is available before making their pick.
Back-seat buyer
This is the funniest phrase used for shoppers. It is usually used to address people who get excited about other’s shopping or purchases. Don’t get the person’s intention wrong; it is just that they get overenthusiastic looking at others’ shopping. And they usually do not buy anything for themselves.
