    Samsung’s latest budget and mid-range smartphones feature Infinity Display as one its highlights.

     
     

    Samsung on Monday launched four new smartphones from its Galaxy A and Galaxy J series – Galaxy A6+, Galaxy A6, Galaxy J6 and Galaxy J8. Galaxy A6+, Galaxy A6 and Galaxy J6 will be available starting May 22. Galaxy J8 will be available for purchase later on June 20.
     
    All four smartphones come with Samsung’s ‘Infinity Display’ which is flaunted on the company’s flagship Galaxy S9 series. The smartphones also run on Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. The company is also integrating Samsung Mall on all smartphones. This feature uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) for features like ‘Visual Search’ which delivers search results on the basis of a product picture clicked on or uploaded from the user’s gallery.
     
    Samsung Galaxy A6+ and Galaxy J8 also come with ’Video over Chat’ feature for messaging apps. You can now chat on different apps like WhatsApp, Messenger while watching videos. The transparent chatbox will appear over the video allowing users to chat simultaneously while watching a video.
     
    Pricing
     
    Samsung Galaxy A6+ is the most expensive of the lot with a price tag of Rs 25,990. Galaxy A6, on the other hand comes in two variants with the base model (4GB RAM+32GB) priced at Rs 21,990. The top model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage retails at Rs 22,990.
     
    Galaxy J6 also comes in two storage models starting at Rs 13,990 for the base variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. As for the model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage it is priced at Rs 16,490. Lastly, Galaxy J8 will retail at Rs 18,990.

     
     

    Galaxy A6+, Galaxy J8 specifications
     
    Samsung Galaxy A6+ and Galaxy J8 come with the same set of specifications except for one camera difference. Galaxy A6+ has a 24-megapixel front camera, while Galaxy J8 sports a 16-megapixel sensor. At the rear both phones offer a dual-camera setup comprising of a 16-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors. The dual cameras come with ‘Live Focus’ mode.
     
    The smartphones feature a 6-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display. Under the hood runs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 450 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Also on offer is a microSD card slot for further expansion up to 256GB. Galaxy A6+ and Galaxy J8 are fuelled by a 3,500mAh battery.

    Samsung Galaxy A6 and Galaxy J6 both have a 5.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display, and are powered by in-house Exynos 7 series processor. The smartphones differ in the photography department. Galaxy A6 sports a 16-megapixel camera at the rear and front. Galaxy J6 comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel selfie camera.
