Tata Motors has been promoting its upcoming SUV Harrier in a big way ever since it was showcased at 2018 Auto Expo. Tata Harrier is being claimed to be one of the toughest vehicles ever built that could tame any terrain. Today, they have officially revealed engine name and details of the Harrier. The new 2.0 liter that will power Harrier, will be called Kryotec. Though Tata Motors has not revealed power and torque figures, reports suggest that Kryotec could deliver 140 PS and 300 Nm via a 6 speed manual transmission and 6 speed auto transmission.
Speaking about the engine, Tata says – “This engine has been tested extensively on Tata Harrier for endurance under harsh conditions and optimized for performance by pushing it to its extremes.” However, going by the claims being made by Tata Motors about Harrier, the SUV does seem to be superior in many aspects.
