Yahoo says over 1 billion accounts hacked, information stolen

In what may be largest data hack at an email provider, Yahoo says that hackers stole records from more than one billion person accounts in August 2013.
That could mean hassle for any users who reused their Yahoo password for different on-line bills.The Sunnyvale, California, corporation turned into also home to what is now most possibly the second one largest hack in history, one which exposed 500 million Yahoo debts.
The organisation disclosed that breach in September. Yahoo said it hasn't diagnosed the intrusion associated with this robbery.
Yahoo says the facts stolen may include names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, birthdates and security questions and answers. The enterprise says it believes financial institution-account records and fee-card information had been not affected.
But the organization stated hackers may have additionally stolen passwords from the affected bills.
