Shilpa Shinde was not the original Angoori
Shilpa Shinde turns a year older today and fans have flooded her timeline with birthday wishes. The actress who has done a number of shows became a nationwide hit with Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai and Bigg Boss 11. On BJGPH, she played the role of the homely, demure and comical Angoori Bhabhi who loved English but struggled with the language. People adored her chemistry with both Rohitashav Gaur (Manmohan Tiwari) and Aasif Sheikh (Vibhuti Narayan). However, Shilpa was not the original choice to play the role of the cute Angoori. Actress Rashami Desai who supposed to be Angoori while Shilpa was chosen to play Anita. However, Rashami backed out and the role of Angoori’s part went to Shilpa. The stunning Saumya Tandon was chosen to be the chic and modern, Anita who dominated her husband, Vibhuti.
People went crazy over Shilpa’s expressions and catchwords like ‘Sahi Pakde Hai’ and ‘Daiyaa Re Daiyaa’. The actress swept awards for her performance on the show but what followed was really ugly. Shilpa and the producers of the show got embroiled in a huge controversy where both the parties indulged in a lot of mud-slinging. They accused her of unprofessionalism while she said they mentally and emotionally harassed. This was not all. CINTAA banned the actress who was out of work for a year. She made a stunning comeback with Bigg Boss 11 and again won over the hearts of the viewers.
