New Delhi: Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Giriraj Singh has said that Indian Muslims are descendants of Lord Rama. He appealed that like the Shai Waqf board, the Sunnis too come forward and support Ram temple issue as
the temple belongs to our ancestor.
According to a report in The Indian Express, speaking to reporters in Jodhpur, Singh said that Indian Hindus and Muslims are from the same lineage and no Muslim here is a descendant of Babar.
"Our religious teachings may be different, but our ancestors are one," he said.
Referring to the Ram temple issue, Singh said that like the Shia Waqf Board, which has extended support to building Ram temple in Ayodhya, the Sunnis should also come forward and support the temple. "If not in India, will a temple be constructed in Pakistan?" he questioned.
