"There should be open deliberation on who is the minority in India. I simply need to state that there has been an ascent in the number of inhabitants in Muslims from the time of Independence and now they ought to be brought over this category and ought to stand equal with the Hindus in this nation," Singh was cited as saying by ANI.
Singh additionally requested a strict populace control measure that ought to be equivalent for both Hindus and Muslims.
