Employee Loses Job For Making Hate-Mongering Twitter Post On Kashmiri Women

Ashish Kaul, a man working for a multi-national firm, was suspended for posting an obnoxious statement on Twitter about Kashmiri women. He has been booked for spreading hate and animosity among the people and was later fired for his comments.

Kaul, a Kashmir Pandit and HR Professional, is working in a leading US firm Development Dimensions International. He tweeted, “Kill the bastards economically and let them sell their daughters, wives in Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai to feed themselves!”

His tweets followed with outrage on social media and many tagged his employer, questioning if they endorse such hate speeches.

The company quickly responded to the allegations against their employee and said, “Thank you for bringing this to our attention. As a matter of policy, we cannot publically comment on employee matters; however, we are taking this situation seriously.”

Later, the hatemonger was reportedly sacked by DDI for his actions. “DDI immediately launched a full investigation upon discovering this issue. We do not condone violence of any kind, & this issue goes beyond a simple matter of employment. We can verify that this person no longer works for DDI, & we are continuing to address the situation fully,” said the company in a statement.

A joint statement released from DDI’S CEO Tacy Byham and President David Tessmann says, “We were shocked and saddened by the nature of these posts, which are in direct violation of our mission and values. As soon as we learned about the social media posts, we immediately suspended the employee and launched an investigation to determine the full scope of the issue. As of May 12, we have accepted the individual’s resignation. This individual’s opinions were his alone, and do not reflect the values of DDI. At DDI, we are strong advocates for equality and diversity and deeply believe in the value of peaceful resolution of conflict. As part of our mission to create better leaders around the world, we also believe we have a responsibility to serve our communities and make them better places to live and work. We hold ourselves and our employees to the highest standards of personal conduct, and refuse to tolerate violence and hate speech of any kind.”

Social Media users even took down to LinkedIn against Ashish Kaul for spitting venom and his LinkedIn account is now blocked. Earlier, his Tweet was deleted and Twitter handle suspended by Twitter.

Meanwhile, another Twitter user with the same name – Ashish Kaul – was mistaken to be the hatemonger. This Ashish is a politician and general secretary at Jammu republic party and his account was targeted by Twitter users. He took to Twitter and asked DDI to verify that he is not their employee,

The Jammu & Kashmir state Police Authorities acted immediately, “Police in Kashmir took cognizance of the matter after it found tweet posts were abusive and attract offences covered under the law. Consequently, Police has registered a case in this matter at Police Station KothiBagh under FIR No: 39/2018 under section 505(1)C RPC, 66 IT Act. Investigation in the instant matter has been started to ascertain the facts pertaining to the case,” Ibtimes quoted a police spokesperson.

In another incident of hatred against the people from Jammu and Kashmiri, on Thursday, a group of Kashmiri youth including a woman was brutally attacked by residents in Delhi for feeding street dogs. According to NDTV, Kashmir Chief Minister Mehaboobamufti had spoken to the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who assured conveying the message to the Lt. Governor and the Union Home Ministry which is in charge for Delhi law and order.
