HEAVY RAINFALL IN GUJARAT , AIR FORCE AND NDRF ON COMMAND

No less than nine people have passed on and more than 400 individuals protected by the National Disaster Response Force and the Air Force as substantial downpours lashed many parts of Gujarat in the previous two days, prompting swollen waterways and flooding repositories.

Save operations picked up force as the downpours enjoyed a reprieve in the wake of lashing a few sections of the state, particularly Saurashtra and Kutch, tossing typical life out of apparatus and leaving thousands stranded in surge waters.

Gujarat Revenue Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama went to the State Emergency Operation Center (SEOC) in Gandhinagar to take supply of the circumstance in Morbi, Surendranagar, Rajkot, Jamnagar and Kutch areas, which endured the worst part of the rain wrath.

"With the assistance of NDRF and Air Force, we have protected 405 people in various parts of the state over the most recent 48 hours. Nine people have lost lives while 2,004 people have been moved to more secure spots," said Chudasama.

"40 people were protected in Jodia tehsil of Jamnagar. Seven people were saved in Surendranagar utilizing a helicopter. We are taking the assistance of NDRF and the Air Force," he included.

Three people stranded at Natwargarh in Surendranagar area were transported by an IAF chopper at the beginning of today, a discharge by Defense PRO said.

Amid the previous 24 hours, Abdasa tehsil of Kutch area got the most extreme precipitation of 322 mm taken after by Jodia in Jamnagar (259 mm), Dasada in Surendranagar (236 mm), Rajkot (206 mm), Dhrangadhra in Surendranagar (166 mm), Morbi (161 mm) and Chotila in Surendranagar (149 mm), said a discharge by the SEOC.

Different spots which got substantial precipitation over the most recent 24 hours incorporate Sutrapada in Gir Somnath (123 mm), Lodhika in Rajkot (117 mm), Gadhada of Gir Somnath (116 mm), Lalpur in Jamnagar (112 mm), Mandvi in Kutch (111 mm), Bhachau in Kutch (106 mm), Bhuj-Kutch (106 mm) and Tankara in Morbi (100 mm).
