Horrific! Lizard found in biryani served to passenger travelling in 12303 Poorva Express
New Delhi: A lizard was found in biryani served to a traveler on board the Poorva Express Train Number 12303 on Howrah-Delhi course on Tuesday.
One of the kindred traveler whined to Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu on Twitter.
"lizard discovered browned in biryani prepare no 12303,HA1,seat no 1,passenger feeling unwell ,no medicinal attention#indianrailways," the traveler composed.
Danapur Division DRM Kishor Kuan stated, "A registration was done in Danapur Division and he (traveler) was given medicine. Move will be made after an investigation."
In any case, the traveler who had requested the biryani said he was given the medicine late.
The Comptroller and Auditor General of India in a report submitted on July 21 said the sustenance sold at railway stations is "unfit for human utilization" and the cleanliness norms at railway providing food units are worse than average, has said in a blistering report.
The CAG execution review discovered unpurified faucet water being utilized to make drinks, revealed and unwashed waste canisters, nourishment forgot in the open, and rats and cockroaches at providing food units in trains and stations.
The report was set up after reviews at 74 stations and 80 trains, covering the period from 2013 to 2016 and issues of prior years which couldn't be accounted for before.
The CAG review report stated, "articles unacceptable for human utilization, sullied foodstuff, reused foodstuff, time span of usability lapsed bundled and packaged things, unapproved brands of water bottles, and so on., were offered available to be purchased on stations."
