New Delhi: Admissions to entry-level classes in Delhi under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Disadvantaged Group (DG) classifications will start Tuesday, with the Delhi government declaring rules for the procedure.
"Affirmations of EWS and DG class should be made through electronic lottery framework in the said schools against 25 for every penny seats held. Filling of Unique Identification Number (Aadhaar Number) for online enlistment has been made mandatory for this session," said a warning by the Directorate of Education (DoE).
The application procedure for the two classes will start tomorrow and will close on January 31. The main rundown will be shown on February 28, and ensuing records will turn out on March 15 and 31.
Schools perceived by neighborhood powers are not part of the online procedure and might direct affirmations physically.
"Affirmation might first be offered to qualified understudies having a place with EWS and Disadvantaged Group living inside 1 KM of the particular school. On the off chance that the opportunities stay unfilled, understudies living inside 3 KM of the school should be conceded. On the off chance that there are still opportunities, then the affirmation should be offered to different understudies dwelling inside 6 KM of the school.
"Understudies living past 6 KM might be conceded just in the event that opportunities stay unfilled even in the wake of considering every one of the understudies inside 6 KM range," the notice included.
Nursery affirmations started on January 2 for 1,400 tuition based schools while the rules for 298 non-public schools running on DDA land was declared last Saturday yet the calendar has not been reported yet.
