Political parties should be held accountable for unfulfilled electoral promises: CJI JS Khehar
New Delhi: Chief Justice of India JS Khehar on Saturday said that electoral promises routinely remain unfulfilled and the political parties must be considered responsible for this.
Pummeling the political outfits, CJI said the political parties' statements don't demonstrate any connection between monetary changes and Constitutional objective of financial and social equity.
The CJI made the comments at a class titled 'Monetary Reforms with Reference to Electoral issues'.
The CJI, talking within the sight of President Pranab Mukherjee, said political parties give "baldfaced" pardons like absence of agreement among their individuals to legitimize non-satisfaction of their survey guarantees.
