Hotel Tander Scam: CBI files case against former Railway Minister Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi and son Tejashwi; conducts searches at 12 locations
New Delhi: The CBI on Friday completed searches at the premises of relatives of previous railway minister Lalu Prasad Yadav regarding a fresh case of affirmed inconsistencies in awarding the tender for maintenance of hotels.
The case has been registered against the then railway minister, his wife Rabri Devi, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and his child Tejashwi, the then IRCTC MD, P K Goyal, the spouse of Yadav's friend Prem Chand Gupta, Sujata, and others, CBI sources said. Gupta is a previous Union corporate undertakings serve.
The sources said the FIR identifies with assertions of inconsistencies in the delicate for advancement, upkeep and operation of BNR Hotels in Ranchi and Puri, granted to the private Sujata Hotels in 2006.
The BNR Hotels are heritage hotels of the Railways which were assumed control by the IRCTC from general society transporter prior around the same time.
Searches are being directed today at 12 areas including Delhi, Patna, Ranchi, Puri and Gurgaon, they said.
