As Punjab is coming to terms with the Amritsar train tragedy which claimed nearly 61 lives during a Dussehra celebration, a video showing the callous attitude of people while passing through a railway crossing has gone viral. In the video shared by Twitter user, Dr Gill, people can be seen intentionally ignoring the gateman present at the location and crossing the railway track as the train honks for a freeway.
While the exact location of the railway crossing is unknown, this video sheds light on the attitude of people, who clearly disregard the consequences of such actions. Watch the video here:
Dussehra celebrations turned into a tragedy in Amritsar when a train ploughed into a crowd on the railway tracks watching the Ravana effigy being burnt. Though the officials concerned should have made elaborate security arrangements for a large public gathering like this, people must not disregard their own safety. A simple search on YouTube shows several videos that draw focus on the attitude of people who are least bothered about safety rules.
