Keeping plants at home is important because many of them have healing powers. They can act as great stress-busters and also help in calming one down. All over the world, plants are used for treating diseases and many a time, instead of using certain lotions or medicines, it is better to use the healing powers of certain plants.

Aloe Vera

Peppermint
 
Peppermint is one of the most safe and natural antiseptic and antimicrobial plants that you can find. It helps in soothing headaches, skin irritations, pain, flatulence, and indigestion. Peppermint also has antibacterial and antiviral properties. Its oil is very effective for solving skin-related issues and helps keep the skin cool. It can also help you get rid of dandruff and lice.

Rosemary is one plant which has been used for a long time for improving memory, reducing muscle pain and strengthening the immune system.
 
Lavender
 
Lavender is a plant which should definitely be part of your kitchen garden. Its benefits include relieving stress and improving one’s mood. Lavender’s fragrance helps in improving the quality of sleep, cutting down on skin problems, reducing dandruff, and improving digestion.
 
Tulsi
 
 
Tulsi was used by the ancient Greeks for healing scorpion bites, while the Romans used it as a disease-fighting antioxidant.
