Just days after revealing the first poster and teaser of Gold, makers have released a new still of the Akshay Kumar-starrer.

The makers of much-awaited Akshay Kumar film, Gold, have released yet another image from the movie and it will further pique your interest in the Reema Kagti directorial.

Akshay essays the role of a Bengali hockey player, Tapan Das, who wants to win an Olympic Gold in hockey for independent India, not British India. The caption with the still says, “15th August, 1936- Berlin Olympics. Uss din Tapan Das ko pata chala ki apna desh ghulam ho, toh kaisa lagta hai. #Gold.”
Clarifying that the film is not a biopic but set against the backdrop of a real-life event, producer Ritesh Sidhwani had earlier told PTI, “It is not a biopic. It is a completely fictional story but it is set against a real backdrop between 1933-48 India about what the country was, the sports... about hockey. It is not based on any character.”

Gold also features Amit Sadh, Kunal Kapoor, Vineet Kumar Singh and Mouni Roy in key roles and will hit the screens on August 15. It marks the Bollywood debut of Naagin fame actor Mouni.
