Manchester United continued their brilliant run as they defeated Fulham 3-0 at the Craven Cottage in the Premier League season 2018-19. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils continue their unbeaten streak since the appointment of the former Manchester United forward. The 20-time top-flight league winners extended their unbeaten run to 11 matches following their thumping win over Claudio Ranieri’s Fulham. Paul Pogba scored a brace but it was Anthony Martial, who hogged the limelight following his stunning goal, which was also Manchester United’s second of the match.
It was in the 23rd minute of the first half when Martial picked up a pass in Manchester United’s half and skipped past the entire Fulham’s midfield and defense before slotting the ball past Sergio Rico. The goal was such a piece of brilliance that Manchester United fans have started to compare it with former Red Devil - Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal against Fulham in 2007.
In fact, Ronaldo scored a sensational goal at Craven Cottage, where the current Juventus forward ran past the entire defensive line at the same ground, the same end and slotted past the goalkeeper in a similar fashion.
