Big Bash League cricket: Harmanpreet Kaur 1st Indian to play for Sydney Thunder

Harmanpreet Kaur is all set to create history. She is set to become the first Indian cricketer to feature in a foreign Twenty20 cricket tournament after she was named in the 13-member squad for the Sydney Thunder franchise in the Women’s Big Bash League.

Sydney Thunder, who won the inaugural edition of the Women’s Big Bash League in 2015/16, are set to protect their crown when they take on the Melbourne Stars inside the opening game at the North Sydney Oval on Saturday.

Harmanpreet Kaur is arriving on an excessive, having led the Indian team to their 6th Asia Cup identity by using defeating Pakistan in the final at Bangkok.

In a video posted on the legit Sydney Thunder facebook page, Harmanpreet Kaur said that she turned into excited to pay inside the girls' massive Bash League and delivered that she could supply her first-rate.

In July 2016, Harmanpreet Kaur created records as she became the first Indian player to be signed up for the big Bash League. She has loved an amazing run inside the Twenty20 global Cup, in which she scored 89 runs and took seven wickets in four matches.
