Dhoni was left out of the Indian T20 squad for the series against West Indies and Australia following his poor run with the bat in the England series followed by the Asia Cup and the Windies ODI series. The veteran had to embrace one of the worst years in his career in 2018 as he failed to carry his good form from the IPL in the international arena.
