Rohit Sharma, Ritika welcome their first child: Instagram story suggests birth of baby girl

Rohit Sharma and his wife Ritika Sajdeh have welcomed their first child, according to news reports. Ritika has given birth to a baby girl on Sunday in Mumbai, reported several media reports.

An Instagram story posted by Ritika’s cousin Seema Khan, who’s also Sohail Khan’s wife, suggested that the couple have been blessed with a baby girl. Khan posted an Instagram story captioned ‘baby girl’, ‘masi’s again’ with a picture of her and Ritika.

Rohit Sharma will not be part of India's Playing XI for the fourth and final Test against Australia as he is flying back to India.

The couple tied the knot on 13 December 2015.

Rohit had recently shared his excitement about the impending addition to his family in an interview with Michael Clarke. "I cannot wait to be a father; it is going to be a game changing moment in our lives. I am eagerly awaiting the moment of becoming a father. It will be a moment to change our life," Rohit had said.

It was double celebrations for the Indian cricketer as on Sunday he was also part of the Indian team that beat Australia by 137 runs to win the third Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
