Delhi Man Arrested At IGI Airport For Dressing Up As Pilot, Just To Shoot Videos & Enjoy Benefits!

To the point: The man was found in possession of a fake ID card, just so that he could shoot videos and enjoy preferential treatments of being a pilot!

Today, the craze for social media has reached a helpless state, where people are ready to risk their lives by putting themselves in dangerous (and illegal!) situations in order to gain popularity. While some people click selfies with running trains, standing dangerously close to the track , others shoot videos while driving vehicles in a rash manner. But a recent event that happened at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI Aiport) was something that nobody could have imagined!

As per reports, a man was nabbed by the cops at the airport on Monday, 18th November, for impersonating a Lufthansa Airlines pilot. The suspect was identified as Ranjan Mahbulani, a 48-year-old resident of South Delhi’s Vasant Kunj area. A fake identity card of a Captain in the German airlines was also found in his possession.

Upon interrogation, he disclosed that he was a YouTube blogger who posts videos based on aviation facilities, and that he had obtained the fake ID card during transit from Bangkok while doing the same with another airline company! He also revealed that he used this fake ID card to gain easy access to airports and enjoy preferential treatment from the security agencies and airlines!

The event came into light thanks to the vigilance of the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of Lufthansa Airlines, Aditya Singh Pathania, who contacted the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), informing them about a “suspected passenger in the getup of a captain of Lufthansa Airlines”. Consequently, the suspect was arrested at the departure gate from where he was about to board his flight to Kolkata with Air Asia

Well, we are truly shocked by how he tried to dupe the airport officials, just to shoot some videos and enjoy various benefits of being a pilot!
