Rohit Shetty shares first look of Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan from

Ranveer Singh, who was last seen essaying the role of Alauddin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Padmaavat, is zealous to pair up with debutante Sara Ali Khan in Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar's Simmba.

Not only will it be refreshing to see Ranveer and Sara together, but it will also be interesting to see what the duo Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar, who are pairing up for the first time, have in store for the audience. The team kickstarts shooting for the film today in Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. Excited with this new venture, Rohit shared the first look of Ranveer and Sara from the film. It is evident from the picture that both the actors have undergone a drastic, but jaw-dropping transformation.

In the picture, Ranveer and Sara are seen posing in their respective looks for the movie with Rohit and Karan. Ranveer with his mustache, hair done in a sleek and neat manner and tinted sunglasses covering his eyes, looks seamless, dapper and undoubtedly a notorious cop. Sara on the other hand can be seen flaunting a crop shimmery top paired with a skirt. Her dressy top gets an effective subtleness because of the denim jacket and balances the entire look. Her hair is tied in a low pony. Her look is very retro and showcases the old-world charm.

Rohit also shared a short video from the first day of the shoot in which we get to sneak-peek into Ranveer's character of Sangram Bhalerao in Simmba. There's an interesting and quite funny twist, when Sara enters and asks them if it's the set of Singham 3 and they exclaim, "Haila! Amrita Singh.."

The first schedule of the film is two months long. Simmba is the Hindi remake of Telugu film Temper.  It is going to be incredible to see the dazzling duo on screen! How excited are you?

Sara, in the meantime shall make her debut in Kedarnath opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. She is said to be shooting for both the films simultaneously. Simmba is slated for a December release this year. Ranveer also has Gully Boys in his plate which is going to release next year in February.
