The peak of the world's tallest mountain, Mount Everest, got so overcrowded this week that there was a long queue of people waiting to reach the summit and the photo of this incident is going viral online.

 
 

Traffic jams are annoying and they bring out our worst sides. If you have ever been stuck in a jam in Delhi, you would know this feeling better than anyone.
 
But what happens if you get stuck in a traffic jam on the highest summit of the world, Mount Everest? Yes, you read that right.
 
We are not making this up, the peak of the world's tallest mountain got so overcrowded this week that there was a long queue of people waiting to reach the summit and the photo of this incident is going viral online.

On 22 nd of May, I summited everest at 5:30 am and lhotse 3:45 pm despite of the heavy traffic ( roughly 320 people ). Today I have just arrived at the Makalu base camp, I will be going for the summit push from the base camp directly. . According to Nirmal, when he neared the summit there was roughly a crowd of 320 people there.
 

 
 

The picture was also shared on Twitter with the caption, "This photo of the queue at the Hillary Step on Everest yesterday is wild..."
 
The situation got so bad that some deaths were also reported during the overcrowded expedition and out of them two people were Indians.
 
"Two more Indian climbers have died on Everest yesterday," Mira Acharya, spokeswoman for Nepal's Tourism Department, told AFP.
 
Reportedly out of the two Indians who died, one was Kalpana Das, 52, who reached the summit but died while descending, as a huge number of climbers queued near the top of Mount Everest.
 
Another 27-year-old man died because of exhaustion as he was stuck in the traffic for more than 12 hours.
