New Delhi: A 27-year-old man, who was associated with a few prominent thefts in Vasant Kunj zone of national capital has been captured by Delhi Police on Monday.

The denounced distinguished as Siddharth Mehrotra is a graphic designer, who used to focus on the places of civil servants, legislators, representatives and other government officers. As per the reports, Mehrotra, son of a bank manager has a place with a knowledgeable family.

Conversing with driving day by day Times of India, DCP (south) Ishwar Singh, said,"Since January, numerous thefts were accounted for from upscale zones of south Delhi after which groups drove by ACP (Vasant Kunj) K P Kukrety and SHO (Vasant Kunj-N) Gagan Bhaskar were framed to lead attacks."

According to the reports, the cops stalked Mehrotra's Facebook profile and they were left stunned when they found a photo which indicates him sitting in a Ford Ecosport whose number plate was unmistakably noticeable. The photo was presumably caught in Leh.

TOI report guaranteed that the auto was discovered enrolled for the sake of Vikas Kumar, a dear companion of Mehrotra with whom he had gone for an occasion to Leh in July.

Kumar educated cops that Mehrotra was living in Pitampura in a leased house. Following the data, cops led an assault and took him into the authority. Police recouped a Chevrolet Cruze, which Mehrotra guaranteed that he had purchased from the cash which he had stolen in the previous couple of months. Aside from this, police have recouped money in US dollars, Nepali Rupees, Indonasian Rupiah and gems (11 stolen gold chains, 4 rings, 8 sets ear rings, 2 gold bangles) worth lakhs.

Prior in 2015, Mehrotra was arrested by Noida police however he was discharged on safeguard in March this year.

Amid cross examination, the cheat admitted to his wrongdoing and said that he had conferred various thefts alongside two of his helpers, Jitender and Anurag Singh. Allegedly, Anurag and Jitender were additionally captured by the police.
