HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar to initiate new campus building for IIM Tiruchirapalli
New Delhi [India]: Union Human Resources Development Minister Prakash Javadekar will initiate the new campus building for the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Tiruchirapalli today through video conferencing.
The foundation is the eleventh IIM built up by focal government in 2011.
The IIM Tiruchirapalli is at present working from NIT grounds since its initiation six years back.
The establishment stone for changeless IIM grounds was laid by the then Union HRD Minister Kapil Sibal in 2011 on 170 sections of land of land gave by Tamil Nadu government.
The new campus for IIM Trichy will be initiated by Javadekar today evening at Chinna Suriyur town in Tiruchirapalli.
Scholarly Block, Admin Block, Faculty Housing for 40, Student Hostels for 400, Staff Housing for 42 officers and staff are worked with world class office in the new grounds.
The Union HRD Ministry has assembled the stage one of new grounds for IIM Trichy at a cost of Rs 330 crore.
