Once again Amitabh Bachchan wins people’s hearts, to pay off loans of 850 farmers

Veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan once again proved that he is a man for the society. He has not only extended his fruitful contributions to the film industry but has also pledged to donate money to charity projects. Also, he is quite often praised for his immense contributions to social causes. This goes to show why Amitabh Bachchan is loved and admired by many.
He once said that social workers should be appreciated more than the celebrities as they push themselves beyond human imagination for the betterment of the society. According to the recent reports, Amitabh Bachchan will be clearing loans of over 850 farmers from Uttar Pradesh.
He said that he previously helped over 350 farmers from Maharashtra by paying off their loans. In a touching blog-post, Big B stated why he thought it was vital to help these farmers. He wrote,
“It has been a most satisfying experience to give some to them our countrymen that sacrificed their lives for us… 44 families diversified into 112 entities were given out in my small way from Maharashtra, the brave hearts, the SHAHEED. More needs to be done from other parts of the country too. It shall be done.
Over 350 farmers loans that were difficult to pay off, and to prevent them from committing suicide, was paid off some days back too… Earlier farmer loans from Andhra and Vidarbha had been done… Now a list of over 850 farmers from Uttar Pradesh have been identified and their loans amounting to over Rs 5.5 crore shall be taken care of… The assistance from the bank in question assists in its execution and its benevolence.”

According to the reports, Big B donated Rs.2 crores (Rs 1 crore for the martyrs’ families and Rs 1 crore for the farmers’ loan repayment). Time and time again, Amitabh Bachchan came forward to do such a good cause. He had also extended his valuable support in repayment of farmer loans in Andhra Pradesh and in Vidarbha which relieved the struggling farmers in India.
