Shashi Tharoor’s Sassy Reply When Asked About Britain’s Contributions To India Is Satisfying
Saturday, September 9, 2017 IST
Shashi Tharoor is generally a mild-mannered man. Unless you open the pandora's box in which hides the conversation about Britain owing reparations to India, for colonising it for nearly 200 years. The former diplomat and MP, has been assertive while stating how Great Britain was more than guilty of draining the wealth of India and it should without doubt apologise.
He recently appeared on an Australian news debate where someone expressed doubts about whether Britain owed reparations to India:
Shashi Tharoor was slightly amused by the question as he broke it down point-by-point and systematically destroyed its very basis.
Then he went on to describe what the exact situation was when the British left in 1947.
Here, watch the video from 44:45 when the debate about reparations begins.
What a wow, sir!
