7 Interesting Facts About Amit Phangal, The First Indian Male Boxer To Win Silver At Worlds

When Amit Phangal was taking part in the final of the World Boxing Championhip, he had a chance to create history. Already his name was in the history books by becoming the first Indian male boxer to enter a Worlds final. Now he had the chance to win a historic gold medal.
But it was not to be as he went down in the final hurdle. He had to settle for silver, but that does not diminish his achievement. Phangal is still the first Indian male boxer to win a Worlds silver and that is no less of a big deal. But there is more to the man than his life inside the ring. Let's find out:
