Here's How Cannabis Has Helped Athletes Focus Only On The Task At Hand

Here

If anybody ever told you smoking weed was good for you as an athlete, how would you react? Yeah, don't answer, my reaction would have been the same - you have got to be kidding me!

Well, as they say, truth is stranger than fiction.

Studies have shown that endurance athletes actually find it helps them focus better. Colorado-based ultrarunner Avery Collins is of that opinion.

“Cannabis helps me live right in the moment. It makes things very spiritual. You don’t think about anything except the run itself,” he toldMotherboard.

“I use it as a way to intensify and enhance the run. It makes the longevity of the runner’s high last longer because technically you’re already high,” he added.

Also, they act as a good muscle relaxant.

As testament to the growing acceptance of marijuana, the World Anti-Doping Agency raised the allowable level of THC for athletes in 2013.

This means it can be indulged during training and with the amount required to would trigger positive result only found if they smoked during the day of competition.

So want to give it a try? It seems not that bad an idea!
