Parthiv Patel to replace Wriddhiman Saha in Mohali Test versus England

Parthiv Patel will make a comeback to the Indian Test team after he was called in to replace Wriddhiman Saha in the Indian Team for the third Test against England in Mohali starting on November 26.

In a statement released by the BCCI, the board’s medical team said Saha had suffered a strain his left thigh during the second Test in Vizag. As a precautionary measure, it was decided to rest Saha.

Parthiv last played a Test match against in 2008 against Sri Lanka at the P Sara Oval, a series which India lost 2-1. The left-handed wicketkeeper has been in fine form for Gujarat in the 2016/17 Ranji Trophy, scoring three fifties and an unbeaten 139 against Madhya Pradesh.
India defeated England by 246 runs in the Vizag Test and currently lead the five-match ODI series 1-0.
