*Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap tied the knot in a private ceremony in Hyderabad
*Tendulkar, Raina, Arshad Warsi, Srikanth were among the stars to wish the newlyweds
*The wedding was attended by the couple's close friends and family

Saina Nehwal married longtime friend Parupalli Kashyap in a private ceremony in Hyderabad on Friday. Saina and Kashyap both could not qualify for the ongoing BWF World Tour Finals in Guangzhou, China and ahead of the new PBL season starting December 22, the two decided to tie the knot in the little window they got out from their professional commitments.

While wishes poured in from all quarters for the newly-wedded couple, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar wrongly posted a photo of Saina with Kidambi Srikanth in his tweet.

The batting great was corrected by the fans on the goof-up and he quickly deleted the tweet. Tendulkar tweeted again but this time with the right photo of the newlyweds.

Saina Nehwal's wedding took place at her residence in Orion villas at Raidurgam in Cyberabad. The couple's close friends and family members graced the occasion with the wedding reception slated for December 16.

The guests included Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana ESL Narasimhan.

Saina posted a photograph with Kashyap on Friday announcing her marriage. "Best match of my life...#justmarried," she wrote in twitter.

While Saina wore a powder blue lehenga and minimal makeup and jewellery, Kashyap was dressed in a pink kurta and white pyjamas.

Saina and Kashyap, who met at Pullela Gopichand's academy, were in a relationship for a decade now. But the couple never came out in the open regarding their relation.

Saina Nehwal's wedding was confirmed by her in October but the hectic international badminton schedule kept them busy.
