Karan Johar severely rebuked Ranbir Kapoor for secretly checking messages on his phone
Filmmaker Karan Johar's new assignment as that of a radio jockey is keeping him really busy. KJo anchors a show, titled Calling Karan, on a radio channel - he advises callers on relationships and solves problems concerning the mushkil dil.
During the show, Karan also obliges fans with several anecdotes about his friends and colleagues in Bollywood. Recently, a caller asked certain questions to the filmmaker and most of his answers involved Ranbir Kapoor, reports Deccan Chronicle.
The caller asked Karan to name a Bollywood star who doesn't have boundaries as such and the 44-year-old filmmaker said: "Ranbir Kapoor. He is always stealing my phone and reading my messages.”
That's pretty nasty, Ranbir. So what did Karan do after Ranbir pulled off this stunt?
“I shouted, I screamed, but then broke my code. He understood my code. It’s quite simple if you are a little intelligent. I changed the code, and he even got that code, somehow I don’t know how he manages. I think he works for the company that makes my phone," Karan said.
Karan's next question was: "Which Bollywood couple needs to set better relationship boundaries?"
No prizes for guessing this one. “Anyone who is in a relationship with Ranbir Kapoor," Karan said.
Well, this apart. Karan Johar and Ranbir Kapoor are pretty close friends. The filmmaker has directed Ranbir in 2016's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and co-starred with the actor in Anurag Kashyap's Bombay Velvet.
Ranbir's films Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani have also been produced by Karan's Dharma Productions and so is his upcoming film Brahmastra, co-starring Alia Bhatt. Brahmastra is being directed by Ayan Mukerji.
Ranbir Kapoor, last seen in Jagga Jasoos, is currently busy completing the Sanjay Dutt biopic.
