Delhi Metro fares hiked from today, check here for new rates
Tuesday, October 10, 2017 IST
If you are travelling beyond 5km on the Delhi Metro from Tuesday, be prepared to shell out Rs 10 extra with yet another fare revision. The hike came into force after the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) decided it is not “competent” to roll back or defer the proposed fare hike, ending a political confrontation between the Delhi government and the Centre on the issue.
The hike, which comes five months within the last one, will affect every commuter of the mass rapid transit who travels beyond 5km, while journeys falling in the 2-5km distance slab will cost Rs 5 more.
