Defence Minister Arun Jaitley responds to China threat: India of 2017 different from India of 1962
The India of 2017 is different from the India of 1962, defence minister Arun Jaitley said on Friday, a day after China requested that New Delhi gain from its 1962 military catastrophe.
"On the off chance that they are attempting to remind us, the circumstance in 1962 was distinctive, the India of today is distinctive," Jaitley said at India Today's Midnight Conclave because of the revealed comment by the People's Liberation Army (PLA) representative.
China cautioned India on Thursday that it will heighten the present outskirt push if Indian troops did not pull back from "Chinese region" and revealed to New Delhi not to "fuss for war".
Jaitley's remark comes in the midst of a remain off amongst Indian and Chinese troops in Dokala zone near the Siliguri passageway that associates whatever is left of India to its north-east.
He said the Bhutan government had made it clear that China was attempting to guarantee Bhutanese land and said this was "completely off-base".
"After the announcement of the legislature of Bhutan, I think the circumstance is completely evident. It is Bhutan's property, near the Indian outskirt, and Bhutan and India have a game plan to give security.
"Bhutan itself illuminated ... China is attempting to modify the present existing conditions. After this, I think the issue is completely certain. To state we will come there and get the place that is known for some other nation is the thing that China is doing and it is completely wrong," the minister said.
