A Muslim man and his family supposedly tied his 22-year-old little girl to a cot, doused her in kerosene and burnt her to death in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad on Friday evening, police said. Her significant other's relatives told police the assault happened on the grounds that her family was angry with her marriage that conflicted with her folks' desires.
Gulfasha Bi was at home with her two-year-old child and a female relative on Friday father and others allegedly roughed her up and set her on fire, yet saved the child, police said. Whatever is left of the family was away at a funeral.. Gulfasha passed on the spot.
"The place of one Gulfasha Bi 22, was assaulted by her father Mashruf Raza Khan and others at around 2 pm on Friday. They apparently mistreated her and later set her ablaze before escaping from the place," said Superintendent of Police (city) Ashish Srivastav.
Gulfasha's in-laws told police that she wedded a man distinguished as Sajid Ali three years back against the will of her folks. Gulfasha's dad and others declined to acknowledge the marriage.
"In light of preparatory proof and the announcements given by the families it appears that it may be an instance of respect murdering," said Srivastav.
A police group achieved the house by 3pm and gathered proof. The singed stays of the body were likewise recouped and sent for posthumous.
Sajad's dad enlisted a FIR under 302(murder) and different segments of IPC against 11 individuals including Mashruf Raza Khan. One of the denounced, Gulfasha's cousin Ashraf, was captured in Friday night. Police is vigilant for the others.
